anna peach

Just love collections and repetition, then came across Anna Peach's work.  This work is entitled -
'Urchin' and is a collection of golf balls recovered from the floor of the Pacific ocean, urchin, made up with plaster on panel.

Sunday

joseph montgomery

I'm in the mood for some abstract art and came across this very tactile piece - the only problem is I want to squidge my hands into it and it's not the done thing! Entitled  Image Sixty Five and is made up from oil, clay and sponge on panel, 12.5 × 9.5 and just over 2 inches thick. Courtesy of Laurel Gitlen (Small A Projects). Found on a wonderful site called artcat

Friday

art hong kong 2010 international art fair

I love the use of broken plates and over sized buttons on the dress installation. About 110 galleries participated and brought together high profile artists such as Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol and Takashi Murakami, along with these impressive newcomers. (but I can't seem to find their names - I will keep looking).

Tuesday

teapot

With a brutish form and use of volcanic black material, Swedish designer Jakob Solgren's 'Wood you like a cup of tea" teapot makes a bold statement in complete contrast to my last blog - Rachel.  Well spotted 'cool hunting'.

Saturday

brendan lee satish tang

Brendan's unique ceramics are quirky, original and take essences of traditional themes balanced with contemporary design - they're just so full of energy and life.

Friday

the pleasure of tiny things

Diem Chau's delicate and unique work is a real pleasure..
