Kathy's work is based on archival and family photos through which she delves into the legacy of human relations. She is drawn to this practice because it marries two passions:photography and weaving. It enables her to translate striking images and poignant family portraits into woven fabric and lets her explore themes of home, family, memory and loss with an intimacy inherent to textiles.
